ios tip of the day: passcode lock

If you have an IOS device and you put a passcode lock on this device, Do not forget your password. Write it down somewhere. If you forget it, the only way back into this device, is to restore the device to new factory settings. All info will be wiped from the device. You can’t do a restore from back up because it will put the passcode lock back on it again. The pass code lock is highly secured for a reason. You can also be assured that if it is lost, that no one else will be able to get into your account information.

ios device tip: Hard reset to fix common issues

You can solve many performance issues with an ios device with a simple reset. This will not erase any data unless there is a much bigger issue going on. Freezes, slow performance, display problems or the device not powering on Hold the sleep wake/power on button on the top right of the device and the home button on middle bottom at the same time for 20 seconds. You will see the slide to power off come up on the screen. Ignore this and keep holding both buttons until the apple comes up on the screen. Let go of both buttons and wait for the device to bower back on. If this does not work… more trouble shooting is needed.
